Bread Outreach

Go to a local grocery store and ask if you can buy loaves of bread to “give” to the customers. You can include a card/label explaining that Jesus is the Bread of Life. You will need to talk to the store ahead of time so that they can order extra bread if they need to. Everyone goes to the store for bread!!

Alzheimer’s Daycare Outreach

We are visiting a daycare center for Alzheimer’s patients and are making Easter baskets with them. So excited to bless these precious victims of such a horrible disease.

Be an angel and spread your arms to reach out and help an elderly townhome association by doing chores that they are unable to do for themselves due to age and/or physical limitations.

They can verbalize the task needed and we can assist them in accomplishing this task. We can bring them reading materials and deliver gods message to them. Some elderly have little or no interaction with the outside world.

Help them realize they are still an important part of our world and we can learn from them as well. Too many young people don’t have a positive roll model in there life and there is alot to be learned from our senior population.

Soul Thirst-Quenchers/Bottled-Water Tracts

This is giving away free mineral water to people but the Gospel message is printed on the package or on the bottle of mineral water. The Gospel message is presented relevantly through the water that can quench thirst however the message is more than just quenching physical thirst but spiritual thirst[salvation] as well. You don’t just help the people physically but spiritually. I call this “Bottled Water Tracts.”
You can give this in any events- race, concerts, sports or rally. And you can incorporate this in your evangelism as you use the bottled water tract instead of the usual gospel tract to present the Gospel.

Ac.T.S. Ministries “Across the street”

To reach out within our community (across the street) and fulfill people’s everyday needs in practical ways with no strings attached.
This month we are doing a laundry mat ministry. We are taking quarters, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets to our local laundry mats. We are going to load the machines up with quarters and give away the detergent/dryer sheets and hope to love on the people/families there on a Sat. afternoon while doing laundry!

Art Lessons for the Elderly

My idea is to go into Retirement Centers and Nursing Homes and teach simple painting class. I have done this in my home with elderly ladies. The painting is completed in one class. I teach a simple land scape painting and share about the fact that we are creative because we are made in the image of the creator. Many elderly people enjoy or have an interest in painting.

Project Hope for Haiti

The association I work for sends school supplies for students in Haiti because even basic school equipment is very hard for families to purchase. Our member schools have been doing this project for a few years.
Canadians pack a “courier bag” (from Dollarama) with basic school supplies for students in schools in Haiti. $10 is required to help pay for shipping the supplies of which a charitable receipt can be issued.
Because this is a bit similar to Operation Christmas Child we never promote it around Christmas as we do not want to interfer with that wonderful project.

Some schools/churches like to do the Hope for Haiti project around Valentine’s Day or Easter.

Outreach to the Construction Workers

This is the outreach to give food to the construction workers lining in the morning waiting for their morning shift. A great way to impact their lives and to show that someone cares for them.

Everyday we see workers lining up waiting for the work shift in the morning. Our team, Dreamworkers PlaceofHope, prepared and brought food to the site where the workers are. We gave them free breakfast and afterwards share to them the love of Jesus.

CLEAN THE CAR

Standing in front of a car cleaning area with a bunch of people. Equipped with everything which is necessary to make a difference in this world ( serving attitude, willing heart, helping hands and a smile on your face).

Wash their car for free from the in- and outside…and very important SMILE while doing it!
At the end: Give them a rose (for the women) and an air fresher, or something little for the car (for the men) and say them that JESUS will not only clean their car, but far more their life from the in- and outside!

We actually combined this idea along with the water outreach. We went out to a busy intersection and offered free windshield washing as well as free water, free hugs and free compliments to those who passed by.
